kantha, one of the oldest forms of embroidery from India, It’s a very traditional hand stitching method used for holding lots of layers of fabric together to make one larger piece of useable cloth. these layers were often remnants of saris that were no longer wearable.

what is blockprint?
a manual stamping technique original from East Asia with over 2000 years. the method consists of manually carving a pattern on the wooden blocks and then stamping it onto the fabric. the process requires skill and time from the craftsman, as the pattern must be stamped repeatedly onto the fabric.
