what is shibori nui?
shibori nui is a traditional japanese resist-dyeing technique that involves hand-stitching patterns into fabric with a needle and thread, then pulling the threads tight to gather the fabric before dyeing. this gathered stitching resists the dye, creating intricate, often organic patterns.
