otherwise was born in 2017 in the warm weather of Lisbon. we wanted to combine unique and exclusive shirts with our biggest passion: textile art.
we're all about keeping craft skills alive
one of our founders lived in India for two years and fell in love with its handcraft techniques and masterful craftsmen. long story short, we're proud to showcase collections of pieces that are hand-printed, hand-woven, hand-embroidered or hand-dyed using ancient techniques such as blockprint, ikat, shibori or jamdani. due to our belief in the slow art of making, we work exclusively with limited edition collections.
we stand for quality,
clean environment and fairness for both consumers and producers. we work closely with a small factory of 8 people in accordance to fair trade principles.
